
Kirk Hensley is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, IMT4495, holding a Master of Arts degree in Christian Marital, Family, and Individual Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. He is passionate about providing therapy for teens, adults of all ages, and couples facing various challenges, including depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidality, and identity and relational issues.
Kirk incorporates effective counseling strategies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. His aim is to nurture a therapeutic environment where clients feel safe to express their deepest concerns and challenges. Adopting a client-centered approach, Kirk collaborates with clients to establish and achieve their goals through actionable steps. He particularly enjoys working with teens and adults, delivering tailored support to individuals, couples, and families.
Residing in Winter Garden, Kirk loves spending quality time with his wife and daughter. A musician at heart, he enjoys both listening to and playing music, as well as teaching percussion. Besides music, Kirk is an avid reader and has a budding interest in woodworking. His favorite travel destination is the mountains.
