Kirk Hensley, BA

Kirk is in his last year of study to acquire a Master's degree in marital, family, and individual counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. Kirk enjoys working with teens, adults of all ages, and couples dealing with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidality, and identity and relational issues. 

Kirk applies counseling concepts from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), as well as Gottman Method Couples Therapy while seeking to foster a therapeutic environment in which his clients feel safe to open up and share their deepest concerns and challenges. He takes a client-centered approach in his counseling, working collaboratively with clients to create and meet goals through action-oriented steps. He enjoys working with teens and adults, individuals, couples, and families.
