Jiayuan “Jenny” Min is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida (SW18423). She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Washington in St. Louis, where she specialized in clinical work with children, youth, and families. She has desired to be a compassionate mental health counselor since college, enriched by extensive volunteering experience serving children and youth in the local community. Her career pathway is driven by a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of those she serves.
Prior to obtaining her clinical Social Worker licensure, Jenny excelled as a program manager for an international youth development program, a community-based counselor, and an intercountry adoption specialist. These diverse roles affirmed her calling to be a change agent in the community and provided her with a deeper understanding of different populations’ needs. With eight years of clinical experience working with clients of various backgrounds, Jenny brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding to Hope Counseling Clinic. She provides counseling services to children, teens, adults, and families. Her expertise and counseling services span an array of mental health needs, including anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, grief, self-esteem, identity, behavioral issues, ADHD, and Autism. Jenny can provide counseling in both English and Mandarin.
Jenny's counseling style is characterized by patience, empathy, and attentive listening, which enable her to create a trustworthy and safe environment for her clients. A firm believer in lifelong learning, Jenny has actively sought training and certification in state-of-the-art therapeutic approaches to better support her clients. She is a certified provider of Positive Parenting Program (Triple P), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Modular Approach to Therapy for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma or Conduct Problems (MATCH-ADTC). She is also trained in Play Therapy, Infant Mental Health, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Jenny enjoys working with children and youth to explore their world, discover their inner strengths, and make healthy changes. She is passionate about working with parents and caregivers to further strengthen their relationships with their children. She uses trauma-informed techniques to help her client heal from traumatic experiences and restore hope and joy.
In her spare time, Jenny finds joy and balance in her life with her husband, two children, and their lovely cat, Prince. She enjoys exploring fun activities with friends and family, reading, exercising, and serving in her local church.
