
Christine Barnes is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern IMH 27142 who earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bellevue University. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Shorter University in Rome, GA. With extensive experience working with children and teens, Christine teaches and integrates her passion for the arts into her practice. Her individual counseling approach draws from cognitive behavioral therapy, solutions-focused therapy, and expressive arts interventions, with a notable emphasis on play therapy. Christine also specializes in therapy for anxiety, helping her clients navigate their feelings and experiences.
Christine’s objective is to create a safe and supportive space for her clients to process their emotions and heal. She communicates with empathy, patience, and warmth in each interaction, encouraging her clients to recognize their strengths and resilience. Taking the time to understand her clients’ perspectives and experiences is a priority for Christine, especially for those dealing with issues like depression, ADHD, body image, self-esteem, and trauma.
Residing in Winter Garden, Christine enjoys spending her spare time with loved ones, practicing Pilates, enjoying musical theatre, reading, cuddling with her four-legged friends, planning for her upcoming wedding, and sipping on extra sweet lattes.
