Rick White, MA, LMHC

 Rick is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC4187) and has over 25 years of professional experience. He received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida in 1990 and earned his Master's degree in counseling from Rollins College in 1993. He has been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 1995. Rick is a charter member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.  Rick specializes in working with adult survivors of childhood trauma, treating anxiety and depression, addiction, grief recovery as well as family and marital counseling. 

 

Rick has experience working in a variety of settings including private practice, inpatient mental health, outpatient, chemical dependency as well as completing an internship with the US NAVY. He established one of the first professional church-based counseling centers in Central Florida. He also worked as the Clinical Director of one of the largest chemical dependency treatment programs in Florida. Rick has had extensive experience teaching and speaking at workshops and seminars on topics related to mental health. He has worked as the co-host and producer of local radio shows focusing on mental health and personal growth. Rick has also been a frequent guest on local TV and radio programs.  He has written curriculum for higher education counselor training programs, as well.


Drawing from his wealth of clinical experience, training in a diverse number of treatment modalities, and a firm understanding of God's compassion and healing, Rick is able to tailor a treatment approach that is unique to every client, couple or family.  


Rick has been married for over 20 years and has two children.  He enjoys traveling, hiking, Bundesliga soccer, military history, reading, and playing the guitar.
